Many South Africans, when considering a holiday or break-away, do not consider an area in South Africa as a possible destination, since they are totally unaware of the magnificence surrounding them, not only in South Africa, but also in the neighboring African countries.

Instead, a large number of South Africans, quite oblivious to the beautiful islands right on their own doorstep, focus on traveling to islands such as Mauritius, the Maldives and Zanzibar, whilst ignoring the wonders that their own country has to offer, wonders such as the magnificent mountains and scenery, the wildlife and game, the cosmopolitan society that inhabits not only South Africa, but Africa as a whole, and the various cultures and traditions peculiar to the African tribes who inhabit our wonderful continent.

Yet, having travelled through Africa, and experienced the wonders of our magnificent continent, I can truly say that if there is one place on earth every South African should see before they leave this earth, it is Africa, with its vast array of fantastic beauty and wonder, a wonder that will force you to view life very differently once you return from your adventure.

They say that the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. Having travelled our continent, I can advise any South African who has not yet seen Africa that Travel is like a book, and if you’ve never seen Africa, you have not finished the book.
